Morris+Company is a company of architects. We are listeners, makers, curators, narrators, experimenters and innovators. We are bold activists and obsessive fabricators. And, together, we are dedicated to making buildings.
For more than seventeen years, Morris+Company has based its operations in London’s east end. In 2022, we moved into our self designed and self funded new studio, located a stone’s throw from The Hackney Empire on Mare Street.
Our mission is to place the creative ‘act’ of architecture directly onto the high street in a studio that has been designed around the principles of sustainable strategies for re-use, recycling and flexibility. Our vision is to create a place which enables, engenders and encourages a sense of interaction with communities and the public through a ground level street fronting event and exhibition space in collaboration with EDIT, our resident plant based low impact restaurant.
- A central hub of 3,000 square feet of flexible space for a range of events – exhibitions, talks, workshops, launches
- Located on Mare Street E8, the space is a five minute walk from London Fields Overground Station and a 10 minute walk from Hackney Central Overground Station
- An event space ready to fit over 120 guests for a standing event or 70 for a seated event
- Options for additional event space at basement connected via feature stair
- Catering available from EDIT
- Equipped with digital resources, such as, projector, sound system, speakers and microphones and bespoke furniture for any desired layout
- Hire fees subject to number of attendees and type of event
