For the first time in our short history, we have been included in the annual AJ100, the definitive record of the UK’s largest architecture practices measured by the number of qualified architects employed in the UK.

In our first-year of inclusion in the survey, we are also delighted to have been selected as a finalist for the Practice of the Year Award, Project of the Year Award, and New Member of the Year.

Practice of the Year Shortlist

This category is based on the strength of business and quality of design output and takes into account key business data from the main AJ100 research and findings from the employee satisfaction survey.

Co-Director Joe Morris writes: “It is quite unexpected that we are included in the survey and in such esteemed company, and more so, to have been shortlisted for Practice of the Year. We still very much consider ourselves a work in progress; a close-knit family, built on the foundations of collective authorship. The last 18 months has been a period of extremes, both globally as well as experienced by a practice of individuals. Simultaneously we have seen remarkable progress in the range of projects, locations, scales and typologies we have had the pleasure to be part of. Our client base has continued to grow, and we have vested considerable energy in visioning our future which will see us increasingly focussed on the urgent interconnected crises of climate and humanity through our work and our approach. Many congratulations to the strong cohort of other shortlisted practices.”

Project of the Year Shortlist

We are humbled to announce that Belle Vue has been shortlisted for the AJ100 Project of the Year Award.

Co-Director Joe Morris writes: "For Belle Vue to be acknowledged in the AJ100 Building of the Year shortlist is in itself an astounding outcome for this project which was 6 years in the making. It emerged from a truly collaborative working relationship with the team, client and the planning officers at Camden Council. The journey from inception to completion also involved Architecture PLB who were involved as executive architects in the latter stages of the project delivery. Now fully occupied, the success of the project is evident in the way the residents have taken ownership of all of the spaces and landscape.”

New Member of the Year Shortlist

In our first-year of inclusion in the AJ100, we are honoured to have been selected as a finalist for the New Member of the Year Award.

Co-Director Joe Morris writes: “Size isn’t everything. Finding ourselves of a scale sufficient to feature prominently on the AJ100 is in some ways extraordinary and largely unexpected. We have always committed fully to what we do. We are continuously focussed on transformation, on both a project as well as practice level. With this in mind, one might suggest that we will always be a new practice, one that is restless, explorative, never fixed and resolutely seeking new ways, fresh perspectives and the exemplar to address the radical issues of our time, now and in the future.”
