We are obsessive fabricators, and every member of our company will spend some time making physical models as part of the design process. Despite our embrace of digital BIM technologies, craft remains fundamental to our methodology, and we have not lost sight of the huge communicative and creative value of the physical model.

The process of making physical models can help all members of the team to engage more directly with a developing design, testing and re-testing it. Models enable us to investigate the scale and intent of a building within its context in a tangible way, rather than resorting to abstract shapemaking on-screen.
